Future proof

Demolishing the house that previously stood on this rural site made way for a specifically designed modern home, built with the natural materials of stone, oak and slate.

A large basement makes great spaces for a cinema, wine cellar, storage rooms and a large plant room. With a lift and an annex, the house was designed to provide the clients with a home that would fulfil their needs both now and in future.

Rather than squeeze in as many bedrooms and reception rooms as possible for resale purposes, the clients kept stunning open spaces. With the use of substantial oak frames and specialist glazing they have created the perfect rural idyll, bringing the countryside views deep into the house.
